32 KUET students continue hunger strike

A total of 32 students from the Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) have continued their indefinite hunger strike on Tuesday morning to demand the removal of Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Masud. 

Their hunger strike started on the balcony of the Student Welfare Centre at 4 pm on Monday. 

The students claimed that leader-activists of Chhatra Dal and outsiders attacked students on February 18, but the KUET administration was unable to provide safety to the students. Police filed a case without mentioning any names and no one has been arrested yet. 

They added that an outsider had filed a case against 22 students. The KUET authority suspended 37 students. Despite appealing to the VC many times, he did not meet the students' demands.
