Pori Moni sues former maid, four media outlets

Actress Pori Moni on Wednesday filed a case against her former domestic help and four media outlets, accusing them of spreading false, fabricated, and defamatory news against her.

The other accused in the case are Morshed Sumon, publisher of Sakol Khabor and also publishers of Pratidiner Bangladesh Entertainment, People News, and Digital Khabor.

The case was lodged with the Cyber Tribunal in Dhaka, where Judge Md Nur A Alam recorded her statement and directed the officer-in-charge of Vatara Police Station to submit an investigation report within July 8.

According to the case statement, Pori Moni appointed Pinky Akter as her housemaid on March 5 through 'Kader Agency' to look after her child. 

On April 2, Pinky left the actress's residence and provided false and fabricated information to the media.

The case statement alleged that the media outlets published news based on misleading and fabricated claims, provoking public backlash against the actress.
