KUET Vice-Chancellor, pro-Vice-Chancellor to be removed soon

Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) Vice-Chancellor Muhammad Masud and pro-Vice-Chancellor Sheikh Shariful Alam are being removed in the face of student protests on Thursday.

Confirming the matter, an official at the education ministry said the process to accept their resignation letters is ongoing. 

Earlier, a press release was issued by the Information and Broadcasting Ministry, citing the Ministry of Education on Wednesday night. It read, “A search committee will soon be formed to appoint new officials for the two key positions. In the interim, a senior professor will be assigned as the acting VC to maintain the university's regular operations.”
