ACC begins investigation into corruption of former APS, PO of two advisers and one coordinator

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has initiated probes into corruption allegations against a former assistant private secretary (APS) and a private officer (PO) of two advisers of the interim government.

They are Moazzem Hossain, former APS to LGRD and Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain; and Tuhin Farabi, former PO to former health adviser Nurjahan Begum.

Additionally, Haji Salah Uddin Tanvir, coordinator of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, is under investigation for allegedly amassing illegal wealth by facilitating DC appointments and joint secretary promotions. 

ACC Director General and Spokesperson Md Akhter Hossain, responding to journalists on Sunday, confirmed that preliminary investigations have begun against them under the ACC Act.
