Ex-MP Milon, 8 others held in Dhaka

Nine Leaders and activists of Awami League (AL) and its front organisations including a former lawmaker from Bagherhat-4 constituency Amirul Islam Milon and an ex-ward commissioner arrested from the city in the last 24 hours.

A separate team of the Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested them from different parts of the capital city as part of the intensified drive to capture those involved in destabilising the country by bringing out flash processions.

Deputy Commissioner of DB, media and public relations, Muhammad Talebur Rahman confirmed the arrestes.

The arrestees are accused in multiple July uprising cases.
