Eid train tickets go on sale from May 14

Bangladesh Railway will begin selling advance train tickets on May 14 to facilitate a smooth Eid journey for holiday travelers. 

Like previous years, all tickets will be available online. 

Tickets for May 31 departures will go on sale May 21, while tickets for outbound trips from June 1 to 6 will be released daily from May 22 to 27. 

Return tickets will be available starting May 30 for June 9, with tickets for June 10 to 15 return trips on sale from May 31 to June 5. 

To handle increased passenger demand, five pairs of special Eid trains will operate on various routes. 

The ticketing schedule was finalized at a meeting on Monday at Dhaka’s Bidyut Bhaban.

Railways Adviser Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan chaired the meeting.
