Ex-MP Kazim Uddin arrested in Dhaka

Police arrested former lawmaker from Mymensingh-11 (Bhaluka) constituency Kazim Uddin Ahmed Dhanu from the capital early on Thursday.

He was arrested from the Aftab Nagar area at around 3:05 am by Jatrabari Police following intelligence information. Deputy Commissioner of DB Muhammad Talebur Rahman confirmed the arrest.

Kazim was arrested in a murder case filed with Jatrabari Police Station on August 26, 2024. He is also accused in four other cases filed in connection with the killing and attack during the anti-discrimination movement.
