Mohammad Hatem becomes BKMEA president

Mohammad Hatem has been elected president of the Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) on Thursday.

On May 10, Mohammad Hatem-led Progressive Knit Alliance won all 35 directorial posts in the biennial election of the association.

On Thursday, the 35 directors nominated Hatem as the association's president.

They also nominated one executive president and seven vice-presidents.

A statement from the trade body said that the president, executive president, and vice-presidents will form the executive committee to run the association for the 2025–27 tenure.
