Meetings, gatherings banned in cantonment and surrounding areas

In the interest of public movement and maintaining public order, meetings, gatherings, processions, demonstrations have been banned in cantonment and its surrounding areas.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said this in a notification on Saturday.

The notification said, “In the interest of public movement and maintaining public order, all types of meetings, gatherings, processions, demonstrations have been banned from Sunday (May 18, 2025), until further orders, from Kachukhet Road, Bijoy Swarani to the Chief Adviser's Office to the area adjacent to Bir Shrestha Shaheed Jahangir Gate, from BAF Shaheen College to the area adjacent to Mohakhali Flyover, Sainik Club Mor, Bhashantek, Matikata, ECB Chattar and adjacent areas.”
