Govt staff protest at Secretariat

A group of government officials and employees staged a protest at the Secretariat, demanding revocation of the Public Service (Amendment) Ordinance, 2025.

The protest was carried out under the banner of Bangladesh Secretariat Officers-Employees Sangjukti Parishad. Its Chairman Md Badiul Kabir and Co-chairman Md Nurul Islam lead the protest. Employees left their workstations and brought out a rally in the morning. 

Earlier, the Advisory Council of the interim government approved the draft of the Public Service (Amendment) Ordinance, 2025 on Thursday. A protest was carried out at the Secretariat on the same day as well.
