2 bikers crushed under truck in Banani

Two bikers died when a concrete mixer truck ran them over at the capital's Banani area at around 9am on Sunday. They died on the spot. 

The two deceased were identified as Ashfaqur Rahman and Asif Mahmud, Banani Police Station Officer in Charge Russel Sarowar confirmed. 

The OC said Ashafqur was a ride-sharing biker. Asif was the pillion rider. They were on their way to Mohakhali when the truck hit their bike from the back at the Kakoli Bus stand. The dead body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Morgue. 

Robiul Islam, an assistant of the truck driver, was detained by police. The truck was also seized, but the driver fled the scene.
