HC upholds death sentences of OC Pradeep, Liaquat in Major Sinha murder case

The High Court has upheld the death sentences of former OC Pradeep and former Inspector Liaquat, who were sentenced to death by the trial court in the case of the murder of retired army Major Sinha Md. Rashed Khan, and the life imprisonment of six accused.

In addition, the verdict has also upheld the order to fine each accused Tk50,000.

On Monday, a High Court bench comprising Justice Md. Mostafizur Rahman and Justice Md. Sagir Hossain gave the verdict after hearing the death reference and appeal in the case.
