Prices of products may go down

Finance Adviser Salehuddin Ahmed has placed the proposed budget for the upcoming 2025–26 fiscal year.

The adviser, in his televised address to the nation, proposed changes to duties on different products.

Prices of following products may go down:

Sugar, sanitary napkins, ice cream, land registration fees, newsprint paper, LNG, tyres, locally made e-bikes, clay pots, paper plates, cancer medicines, insulin, air travel fares, large locally made computer monitors, and lithium-graphene batteries, etc.

This year, budget speech was broadcast simultaneously on BTV and other private media outlets.
