Govt offices reopen after 10-day holiday

As the holiday draws to a close, a large number of government officials and employees, around 15 lakh nationwide, are returning to their workplaces from their village homes.
Initially, the Eid holidays were announced for June 5 to June 10, but the interim government later extended the leave to a full 10 days to facilitate travel and celebrations.
To accommodate the extended Eid holidays, government offices had remained open on May 17 and May 24, both Saturdays, which are usually weekly holidays.
