3 accused, who assaulted Nurul Huda, gets bail

The court has granted bail to Uttara Paschim Thana Sechchhasebak Dal member secretary Md. Hanif, who was arrested in the case of harassing former Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda. 

Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Md Chanaullah issued the order on Wednesday.

In addition, two more accused in the case surrendered to the court and were granted bail. They are - the main accused in the case Mozammel Haque Dhali and Uttara Purba Thana Sechchhasebak Dal joint convener Md. Qayyum. 

This information was confirmed by the court's general registration officer of Uttara Paschim Thana Atiqur Rahman Khan.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court ordered Hanif to be sent to jail. 

On this day, the investigating officer of the case and Uttara Paschim Thana Sub-Inspector Mohammad Nazrul Islam appealed the court to keep the accused in jail. 

Earlier on Monday night, a team of the army arrested Hanif from Uttara area.
