Jubo Dal leader accused of vandalising, looting bar after not getting VIP room

Monir Hossain, a Jubo Dal leader, faces allegations of vandalism and looting at Zakaria International Restaurant and Bar in Mohakhali, Dhaka.

According to the bar's management, Monir and his followers went on a rampage after being denied a VIP room.

A viral social media video captured the incident, showing a man obstructing and striking a woman, causing her to fall.

The bar's assistant general manager, Abu Bakkar Siddique, filed a case with Banani Police Station, naming five individuals, including Monir, and 25 unidentified others.

The incident, which allegedly involved assaulting women, occurred around 8:45 pm last Tuesday.

Following the incident, Jubo Dal issued a statement on Thursday, expelling Monir Hossain from all party positions and revoking his primary membership for breaching party discipline and ideology.

The party disclaimed responsibility for his actions, urged members to cut ties with him, and called for appropriate legal action.
