Take preparations for national elections by December: Chief Adviser

Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus has directed the Home Ministry to make all preparations for the national elections by December.

This was announced by the Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam at a press briefing called at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital at 8 pm on Wednesday to inform about the progress of the 13th national elections.

The Press Secretary said that eight lakh law enforcement officers will be deployed for the elections. For a fair election, all members of the law enforcement officers will have to complete their training by December.

At the same time, the Chief Adviser has also asked the law enforcement officers to be strict in the coming months.

He said that there was also a discussion on whether separate booths can be set up for voters aged 18-32 during the elections.
