Over 6.6 lakh students fail in SSC, equivalent exams

A total of 6,00,660 students have failed in this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations. Among them, 3,24,716 are male students while 2,75,944 are female.

Professor Dr Khondoker Ehsanul Kabir, Chairman of the Dhaka Education Board, disclosed the information at a press briefing held at the Dhaka Education Board conference room on Thursday.

The pass rate of all boards together is 68.45 per cent this year. A total of 1,39,032 students received the GPA-5.

Last year the pass rate was 83.03 per cent, and the number of students with GPA-5 was 1,82,129.
