State mourning declared for Tuesday after Uttara aircraft crash

A one-day state mourning will be observed on Tuesday following the tragic crash of a Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft at Milestone School and College in Uttara of Dhaka. 

The announcement was made by the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing on Monday.

According to the press release, the national flag will be flown at half-mast at all government, semi-government, autonomous, and educational institutions across the country, as well as in government and private buildings and Bangladesh missions abroad. 

Special prayers will also be held at religious places of worship nationwide for those injured and killed in the incident.
