Plane Crash at Milestone School and College: ISPR releases casualty list

A Bangladesh Air Force FT-7 BJI training plane crashed into a building at Milestone School and College in Uttara, resulting in severe casualties. 

According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) issued at approximately 5:00 pm on Monday, 19 people have been confirmed dead, and 164 others were injured.

The ISPR provided the following breakdown of casualties across medical facilities:

Kuwait Friendship Hospital: 8 injured

National Burn Institute: 70 injured, 2 dead

CMH-Dhaka: 14 injured, 11 dead

Kurmitola General Hospital: 2 dead

Lubna General Hospital and Cardiac Center: 11 injured, 2 dead

Uttara Modern Hospital: 60 injured, 1 dead

Uttara Crescent Hospital: 1 injured

The ISPR said that the training plane took off at 1:06 pm before the incident occurred. The Director General of Fire Service and Civil Defense, Muhammad Zahed Kamal, confirmed the death toll of 19 during a press conference.

Following the tragedy, the Press Wing of the Chief Adviser announced a one-day state mourning to be observed on Tuesday.
