Henley Passport Index: Bangladesh secures higher rank

The latest Henley Passport Index was released on Tuesday, and Bangladeshi passport now occupies the 94th spot in the list. Last year, the rank was 97th. 

As per the Index's information, Bangladeshi passport holders can now travel to 39 countries of the world without a visa. 

Singapore occupies the top spot in the ranking, making the country's passport the strongest this year. Passport holders of this country can travel to 193 countries without any visa. 

Last year, six countries jointly occupied the top spot. They were France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Singapore, and Spain. 

This year, Japan and South Korea occupy the second spot jointly. Seven countries occupy the third spot- Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, and Spain. 

The United Kingdom's passport occupies the sixth spot, while the United States occupy the tenth spot. 

Neighbouring countries India and Pakistan occupy the 77th and 96th ranks, respectively. Afghanistan’s passport remained in last place on the list, granting visa-free access to just 25 countries worldwide.
