Anti-discrimination student movement suspends all committees sans central one

The activities of all committees, except the central committee, of the anti-discrimination student movement across the country have been suspended.

The central leaders made the announcement at an emergency press conference in Shahbagh in the capital on Sunday.

Rifat Rashid, president of the central committee of the anti-discrimination student movement, said, “The activities of all committees across the country, except the central committee, of the anti-discrimination student movement have been suspended as per the decision of the organogram (organizational structure).

He said, "There have been and are attempts to commit many types of misdeeds using the banner of the anti-discrimination student movement in the name and anonymously. The day we came out in this regard, we warned that nothing like this will be tolerated."

He called on the law enforcement agencies to take legal action against those who commit immoral acts.
