Milestone jet crash: Another child dies, death toll at 36

Another child undergoing treatment at the burn institute has died in the Air Force fighter jet crash at Milestone School and College at Uttara. The death toll in the incident now stands at 36.

A 14-year-old child Sahil Farabi Ayan succumbed to his burn injuries at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery (NIBPS) at 1:45 am on Monday. 

NIBPS Resident Surgeon Dr. Shawon Bin Rahman confirmed the death, saying, "Ayan had 40 per cent burns."

Ayan's parents are Mohammad Ali Masud and Tamanna Manjur. They reside at 533/1 Madhya Manipur Mirpur.

With the death of Ayan, 18 people have so far died at the Burn Institute.

Currently, 33 survivors, including 27 children, are undergoing treatment at the NIPBS. Three of them are in critical condition and are being treated in the ICU.
