Election announcement expected soon: Law Adviser

Law Adviser Dr. Asif Nazrul announced that the date for the upcoming election will be revealed within the next few days. 

Speaking at a press conference held at the Secretariat on Thursday, Nazrul discussed ongoing reforms and current initiatives of the Law Ministry.

When pressed on the timeline for the election date announcement, Asif Nazrul responded, "Please wait; you will hear the announcement in a few days." 

He emphasised that the Election Commission will oversee the election process, adding, "I can only speak to our government's intentions. Our goal, as the Chief Adviser consistently puts stress, is to conduct the most credible election in Bangladesh's history."

Addressing a question about the 2008 election, Asif Nazrul dismissed claims of dismissing concerns about it, stating, "There is no question that the 2008 election is beyond scrutiny. I disagree with that notion. There are valid concerns about the 2008 election, and journalists investigating this will uncover significant issues."
