NCP delegation meets CEC as registration deadline ends today

A National Citizen Party (NCP) delegation, led by Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwari and Southern Region Chief Organiser Hasnat Abdullah, met Chief Election Commissioner AMM Nasir Uddin at the Election Commission (EC) office on Sunday noon. 

They were accompanied by Joint Convener Khaled Saifullah and Joint Member Secretary Zahirul Islam Musa. 

The meeting occurred on the final day for 144 new political parties, including the NCP, to meet EC registration requirements by submitting necessary documents before 5:00 pm. 

Although all 144 parties applied by June 22, none initially met the criteria. The EC granted a 15-day extension in two phases, with the final deadline ending today.
