Milestone resumes academic activities after 15 days

Academic activities have started at the capital's Milestone School and College, 15 days after a Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) FT-7 BGI fighter aircraft crashed into a building the school, causing 34 deaths and many more injuries. 

Students of class nine to twelve arrived at the campus and classes started from 8:30am on Wednesday, confirmed Shah Bulbul, public relations officer of the institution.

The aircraft crash on July 21 occurred due to a mechanical fault after taking off from the Bangladesh Air Force Base AK Khandaker in Kurmitola at 01:06 pm as part of a regular training, the ISPR said.

The FT-7 jet crashed into a building of Milestone School and College at around 1:18pm. Many of the injured are receiving treatment at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.
