Ministry orders comprehensive audit of RAJUK's financial activities from 2009 to 2024

The Ministry of Housing and Public Works has directed the Directorate of Internal Audit to conduct a thorough audit of all income and expenditure activities of the Capital Development Authority (RAJUK) from 2009 to 2024. 

This includes transactions related to plot and flat allocations, transfers, and associated financial operations, as stated in a press release issued on Sunday, signed by Md Alamgir Hossain, the ministry’s public relations officer.

The directive aligns with Sections 2 (a), (b), (c), and (d) of the Internal Audit Directorate’s Allocation of Functions and Charter of Duties, following a decision by the Ministry’s Budget Management Committee on April 23, 2025. 

The ministry stressed that the audit aims to ensure transparency and accountability in RAJUK’s operations over the past 15 years, in the public interest.

The Internal Audit Directorate is tasked with creating and adhering to a structured audit plan. RAJUK is required to comply with all relevant laws, rules, and regulations during the audit process. 

The audit team’s details, including names, designations, and contact information, must be submitted to the ministry before the audit begins. 

RAJUK must stay fully informed throughout the process, and the audit must be completed within three months. 

A comprehensive report will be submitted to the Secretary of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works upon completion.
