PSC gets 3 new members

Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has got three new members, raising the total number of commission members to 18.

The newly appointed members are Professor Dr M Amjad Hossain of Rajshahi University, Professor Dr Muhammad Shaheen Chowdhury of University of Chattogram and former secretary of the Ministry of Social Welfare Dr Md Mohiuddin.

The appointments were made through separate notifications issued by the Ministry of Public Administration.

According to the notifications, the President appointed the new members under Article 138 (1) of the Constitution.

As per the orders, the new members will remain in office for five years from the date of assumption or until they turn 65, whichever comes earlier
