4 bodies recovered from Buriganga, 2 bear injury marks

Police have recovered four bodies, including two women and a child, from the Buriganga River on Saturday night. Two of the bodies bear signs of injury. 

The bodies were recovered from separate places of the river, Sadarghat River Police Officer in Charge Md Sohag Rana confirmed. 

Among the bodies are two women, one man, and a 3-year-old child. The bodies were sent to the Sir Salimullah Medical College Mitford Hospital for autopsy, the OC added. 

At first, a 30-year-old woman's body was found floating near the Mirerbagh Cold Storage in Keraniganj. She was wearing a set of pink salwar-kamiz, and a black Burka was wrapped around her throat. 

About an hour later, a 3-year-old male child's body wrapped in a scarf was found at the same spot. 

Keranigaj Barishur River Police Officer In Charge Md Moktar Hossain said the floating bodies of a 40-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman were recovered near Madaripur Jame Masjid of Jinjira Union at around 7:30pm. The man was wearing a pair of black pants and a check-pattern full shirt. The woman was wearing a grey T-shirt and a red salwar. These two bodies bear signs of injury.
