Engineering students shut down campuses until demands met

The Engineers' Rights Movement has declared a "total shutdown" of engineering university campuses nationwide until their three key demands are fulfilled.

The statement was made by the movement's president, Md Wali Ullah, during a press conference at the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh, in Dhaka on the evening of August 28.

Wali emphasized that the shutdown is intended to push for their demands without causing public disruption. "We are avoiding street protests for now to prevent inconvenience to the public," he stated.
