Deadline to correct NID extended

The Election Commission (EC) has extended the deadline to apply for correcting rejected NID till October 31. 

People whose application for NID correction was rejected before in the NID Crash Programme can apply this time, the EC NID Registration Division has said.

The division's Assistant Director Md Sarowar Hossain has sent the directive to field-level officials recently. According to the directive, the crash programme was held from December 29 to June 30. Meanwhile, a crash programme is ongoing from July 21 to October 31 to dispose of the NID correction of the 'Gha' category.
