Three hajj packages announced, starting at Tk4,67,167

The government has announced three Hajj packages for next year, with the minimum cost set at Tk4,67,167. 

Religious Adviser Dr. AFM Khalid Hossain unveiled the packages during a press conference in the Ministry of Religion’s meeting room on Sunday.

He noted that, as in previous years, a significant number of Bangladeshi devotees will participate in Hajj. Per the Saudi government’s quota, over 78,000 Bangladeshis will have the opportunity to perform Hajj. The government has structured three distinct packages under its management.

Hajj Package-1 (Special) Pilgrims opting for this package will enjoy accommodation within 700 meters of Haram Sharif’s outer courtyard in Mecca and in the Markazia or Central Area in Medina. Up to five people will share a room with an attached bathroom. 

Tents in Mina will be in Zone-2, with food provided by the Moallem and ‘D+’ category services in Mina-Arafa. The estimated cost is Tk6,90,597.

Hajj Package-2 This package offers accommodation within 1.2 km to 1.8 km from Haram Sharif’s outer courtyard in Mecca and in the Markazia or Central Area in Medina. Up to six people will share a room with an attached bathroom. 

Tents in Mina will be in Zone-2, with food provided by the Moallem and ‘D’ category services in Mina-Arafa. The estimated cost is Tk5, 58, 881.

For both Hajj Package-1 and Hajj Package-2, pilgrims can upgrade to 2 or 3-seat rooms or opt for a short package by paying the prescribed amount. 

The standard stay in Saudi Arabia will range from 35 to 47 days, while the short package reduces this to 22-30 days.

Hajj Package-3 (Affordable) Designed for affordability, this package provides accommodation in the Azizia area in Mecca and outside the Markazia area in Medina, with up to six people per room. 

Tents in Mina will be in Zone-5, with food provided by the Moallem and ‘D’ category services in Mina-Arafa. AC bus transportation will be arranged for the five daily prayers at Haram Sharif. The estimated cost is Tk4,67,167.
