Ekushey Book Fair postponed

Bangla Academy has postponed Amar Ekushey Book Fair scheduled to be held in December this year.

In this regard, a notification signed by Bangla Academy Director General Professor Mohammad Azam was issued on Sunday.

It said that the decision of the Ministry of Home Affairs on September 21, 2025 - 'Arrangements should be made to organise the Amar Ekushey Book Fair after the upcoming national elections'. 

In this context, the date of the Book Fair 2026 that was fixed based on the opinions of all stakeholders has been postponed.

The notification also stated that a new date will be fixed later based on the suggestions of publishers and other stakeholders.
