Former industries minister Nurul Majid no more

Former industries minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun has passed away. He was 78 years old. 

He breathed his last at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital at around 8am on Monday. Office Prisons Headquarter Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Jannat-Ul-Farhad confirmed the matter. 

In September last year, a Narsingdi court sent Nurul Majid to jail in a case filed over the killing of a Sramik Dal leader during the anti-discrimination student movement in Madhabdi municipality area on August 4. After he became ill in jail custody, he was admitted to DMCH, where he died while receiving treatment.
