Former MPs among 13 AL men held in Dhaka

Thirteen leaders and activists of Awami League, including two former lawmakers, were arrested under the Anti-Terrorism Act from different parts of the capital in the last 24 hours.

The arrestees include ex-lawmaker from Brahmanbaria-5 constituency Faizur Rahman Badal and ex-lawmaker from women's reserved seat-324 Tamanna Nusrat Bubli.

Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested them under the Anti-Terrorism Act.

Deputy Commissioner of DB (media and public relations) Muhammad Talebur Rahman confirmed their arrests.
