7 policemen suspended over bullet theft at Badda Puja Mandap

Seven policemen, including a Sub-Inspector (SI), an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI), and five constables, have been temporarily suspended following the theft of a bag containing 30 rounds of shotgun bullets from the Sri Sri Mahadev Ashram and Kali Mandir puja mandap in Nimtali, Badda, Dhaka. 

The incident occurred while the officers were on duty.

According to Muhammad Talebur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner (Media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, nine policemen and eight Ansar members were assigned to secure the puja mandap on Monday night. Most were found sleeping, except for two officers. The stolen bag, belonging to a policeman, was later recovered near the pavilion with the bullets intact.
