Drizzle disrupts holiday morning in the capital

On Friday morning, drizzle fell across several areas, including the capital, under a cloudy sky. The light rain began early in the day, casting a damper on the holiday morning.

For low-income workers in the capital, the rain has brought challenges. Rickshaw driver Haresh Ali ventured out despite the weather to earn a living. "It’s been drizzling since morning," he said. "People stay indoors unless they have urgent work, so I haven’t had a single passenger today."

Vegetable seller Faruk also felt the impact. "The first Friday of the month usually brings more customers," he noted, "but the rain has kept sales very low today."

The Meteorological Department had warned of continuous rain in the coming days. Their forecast indicates light to moderate rain or thunderstorms with gusty winds across most parts of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal, Chottogram, and Sylhet divisions today.
