Bus torched in Dhaka's Senpara

Miscreants shot at and set on fire a bus in the capital's Senpara area on Friday. 

Police reached the spot and recovered the bus. They said internal conflict in the bus company may have caused the incident. 

The bus owner told the media that several people signalled the bus to stop at Mirpur's Senpara area. After stopping, they beat up the driver and his assistant and made them leave the vehicle. Frightened passengers also left. The miscreants shot a few rounds of bullets at the bus's front window, causing it to catch fire. 

According to the bus owner, a man named Nesar attacked the staff while trying to extort money. He may be involved in this matter. 

Mirpur Division Deputy Police Commissioner Mohammad Maksudur Rahman said the company sacked some staff recently. The sacked staff may have caused the incident. Legal measures are being taken. Police are trying to analyse CCTV footage to identify the miscreants.
