Former MP BM Mozammel Haque arrested

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DB) has arrested BM Mozammel Haque, the organizing secretary of the central executive committee of the banned Awami League and former MP from Shariatpur-1 constituency, from the capital's Niketan area.

He was arrested from the capital's Niketan area around 3 pm on Sunday.

Deputy Police Commissioner (DC) of the Media and Public Relations Department of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Muhammad Talebur Rahman confirmed the matter.

The DB said that there are eight cases filed against him in different police stations in Dhaka on charges of attacks during the July movement.
