Medical admission test on December 12

The admission test for the 2025-26 academic year at public and private medical colleges in Bangladesh has been scheduled for December 12, to be conducted simultaneously nationwide. 

The Health Ministry has decided to modify the question paper format this year, introducing a written component alongside the existing multiple-choice questions (MCQs) for the first time.

This decision was made during a meeting at the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Monday. 

Professor Dr. Nazmul Islam, Director General of the Directorate General of Medical Education, confirmed that the MBBS admission test is set for December 12, with all preparations underway. 

He noted that the written component will be limited, likely comprising 10 to 20 marks, with final details to be determined by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC).

The meeting was attended by BMDC President Md. Saiful Islam, Joint Secretary of the Directorate General of Medical Education and Family Welfare Department Mallika Khatun, Director of the Directorate General of Medical Education Professor Dr. Mohiuddin Matubbar, and other officials.

The Directorate General of Medical Education announced that the application process, schedule, and other related instructions will be published one and a half months prior to the exam.
