Mirpur fire under control after 26 hours and 40 minutes

The fire that broke out at a chemical warehouse in the Rupnagar Shialbari area of Dhaka's Mirpur was brought under control after 26 hours and 40 minutes. 

Fire Service and Civil Defence Director (Operation and Maintenance) Lt Col Mohammad Tajul Islam Chowdhury confirmed the matter. He said the fire was brought under control at 2:20pm on Wednesday. 

The fire started at around 11:40am Tuesday at an RMG factory and a chemical warehouse next to each other. So far, sixteen bodies have been recovered from the RMG factory.
