RUCSU elections underway

The polls to Rajshahi University Central Students' Union (RUCSU) began at 9:00 am on Thursday.
This is the 17th RUCSU election in the 72 years since the university was established.
Like other public universities in the country, Rajshahi University has not held student union elections since 1990.
After three and a half decades, there has been excitement among students about the RUCSU elections.
The university administration says that voting will continue from 9 am to 4 pm at 990 booths in 17 centers in 9 buildings of the university.
Security has been tightened on and around the campus.
A large number of police and BGB and RAB members have been deployed.
