45th BCS oral exam schedule released

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced the oral exam schedule for candidates who provisionally passed the 45th BCS written exam. 

The schedule was published on the PSC website on Sunday.

According to the notification, oral exams are scheduled for 73 candidates from the general cadre, 747 from both general and technical/professional cadres, and 225 from the technical/professional cadre only.

Masuma Afreen, Examination Controller (Cadre), stated that the schedule is available on the PSC website and Teletalk’s website.

A total of 6,558 candidates passed the 45th BCS written exam, conducted from January 23 to January 31, 2024. 

The 45th BCS notification was issued on November 30, 2022, with preliminary exam results announced on June 6, 2023, where 12,789 candidates passed. 

Of the 346,000 applicants for the preliminary exam, 268,119 participated, with an attendance rate of 77.24%.

The 45th BCS will recruit 2,309 cadres, including 1,222 non-cadre positions. 

The medical cadre will see the highest recruitment with 539 assistant and dental surgeons, followed by 437 in education, 80 in police, 54 in customs, and 274 in administration.
