Low pressure formed, three days of rain likely from Oct 29

A low-pressure system that formed since Friday morning is likely to turn into a cyclone and will hit the Indian states of Odisha and Tamil Nadu. 

Bangladesh may experience rain for two or three days from October 29 due to the influence of the low-pressure.

Duty officer of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), Kazi Zebunnesa, confirmed the BSS of the development. 

She said the low pressure developed at 6am today. It is likely to intensify, and it may transform into a cyclone. But, it will not hit inside Bangladesh territory, rather hit the Indian states of Odisha and Tamil Nadu.  

The coastal belts may experience heavy rain, while the other parts of the country may experience light to moderate rain due to the influence of the low pressure.

According to the met office bulletin, rain or thunder showers is likely to occur at one or two places over Chattogram and Sylhet divisions.

"Rain or thunder showers is likely to occur at one or two places over Chattogram and Sylhet divisions. Weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country," the bulletin said. 

Day and night temperatures may fall slightly over the country, it also said. 

The maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded at 36.2 degrees Celsius at Feni station, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 20.1 degrees Celsius at the Tetulia station. 

In Dhaka, the sun will set at 5:25 pm on Friday and will rise at 6:01 am on Saturday.
