Metro rail services resume

Authorities of the metro rail resumed its services fully, shortly after 11am on Monday, following a suspension. 

Dhaka Mass Transit Company Ltd (DMTCL) informed that they conducted two trial runs from Agargaon to Shahbagh on Monday morning. After the successful trials, the services were resumed fully at around 11am. 

On Sunday at around noon, a pedestrian died in the Farmgate area of the capital when a bearing pad fell from a Metro Rail pillar and hit him on the head, killing him on the spot. The authorities halted the metro rail services after the incident. It resumed partially in the afternoon. After maintenance work, services resumed fully on Monday.
