Govt to recruit 10,219 assistant teachers in primary schools

The government will recruit 10,219 assistant teachers in government primary schools across the country.

The Directorate of Primary Education (DPE) has invited applications on Wednesday for the recruitment.

Permanent residents of all upazilas/thanas in districts under Rangpur, Barishal, Sylhet, Rajshahi, Khulna, and Mymensingh divisions are eligible to apply for the posts, according to a DPE circular issued on Wednesday. 

The posts are offered under pay scale 2015: 11,000–26,590 (Grade-13). 

As of November 30, 2025, the minimum and maximum ages of applicants must be 21 and 32 years, respectively.

Besides, the applicants must hold at least a second class or equivalent CGPA (minimum 2.25 on a 4-point scale or 2.8 on a 5-point scale) in a Bachelor’s or Bachelor’s (Honours) degree or equivalent from any recognized university.

Any third-class or equivalent GPA/CGPA at any level of education will not be accepted, the circular said.

Interested candidates must apply online. Applications will open on 08 November 2025 at 10:30 am and close on 21 November 2025 at 11:59 pm, it added.
