2 buses catch fire in Badda, Shahjadpur, crude bombs explode in Dhanmondi

Miscreants have set fire to two buses at Merul Badda and Shahjadpur in the capital. On the other hand, crude bombs were exploded at two locations in Dhanmondi. 

Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) Control Room Duty Officer Rashed Bin Khaled told the Daily Samakal that at around 5:40am on Monday, they received information that an Akash Paribahan bus and a Victor Paribahan bus were on fire at the capital's Merul Badda and Shahjadpur areas. Later, two firefighting units were deployed at each location to bring the fire under control. 

The cause of the fire was unknown, he said. There were no casualties. 

Meanwhile, Dhanmondi Zone Assistant Commissioner (AC) Shah Mohammad Tarikuzzaman told the Daily Samakal that at around 7am on Monday, two crude bombs were exploded in front of Dhanmondi's Ibn Sina hospital, and two more near the Rapa Plaza by miscreants on motorcycles. 

There were no casualties, the AC said. Police have collected evidence and CCTV footage, and legal measures are underway.
