Law enforcement agencies on alert at key intersections

Traffic movement in the capital was comparatively less on Thursday morning following 'Dhaka Lockdown' programme called by banned Awami League.
However, the alert position of law enforcement officers at intersections was noticeable.
Such scenes were seen while roaming around various roads of the capital around 8 am.
It was seen on the spot that rickshaws, auto rickshaws, CNG-powered rickshaws, private cars, motorcycles and vehicles of various government agencies were plying on the road.
However, the number was less compared to other days.
Public transport was thin.
The number of people who came for a morning walk in Ramna Park was also a little less.
Aminul, a coconut seller at the northern gate of the park, said, "Sales were good, less than other days. However, due to the first lockdown, fewer people came to the park."
Meanwhile, there was no traffic jam at the Matsabhaban, Paltan-Kakrail intersections.
However, the anxiety among the people was not as noticeable.
The number of office-going people was high. However, the number of students was poor.
Footpath shops were seen opening.
