Ali Riaz appointed as Special Assistant to Chief Adviser

Professor Dr. Ali Riaz has been appointed as the Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser to the Interim Government with the rank of Adviser. 

A notification in this regard was issued by the Cabinet Division on Thursday.

The notification signed by Cabinet Secretary Dr. Sheikh Abdur Rashid said that Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has appointed Professor Ali Riaz as his Special Assistant. 

While serving in this post, he will receive the rank of Advisor, salary and allowances and related facilities, it said.

After the July uprising, the National Consensus Commission was formed under the leadership of the Chief Adviser to the Interim Government, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus. 

The Vice-Chairman of this Commission was Professor Ali Riaz, the Head of the Constitutional Reform Commission. 

In addition, the heads of six separate reform commissions were included as members of the commission.

This commission reviews the recommendations of the reform commissions, proposes necessary amendments and prepares an outline for their implementation under the supervision of the Interim Government.
