4 DU students injured amid panic after earthquake

Several students in the University of Dhaka (DU) panicked and jumped from windows and rooftops when an earthquake struck Dhaka on Friday morning. Some of the buildings also showed cracks. 

The injured were identified as Abdullah Al Tanbir of the Department of Economics, Tanzir Hossain of the Mass Communication and Journalism Department at Haji Muhammad Mohsin Hall, Tanvir Bari Hamim at Kabi Jasimuddin Hall, and another student at the Muktijoddha Ziaur Rahman Hall, who was critically injured and was brought to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

According to eyewitnesses, several students tried to jump in panic within a few seconds of the earthquake and were injured.
